Greenwood Plantation, Near St. Francisville, LA. Orignially built by William Ruffin Barrow and his wife, Olivia Ruffin Barrow in 1830, Greenwood burned in 1960. In 1968 the property was purchased by Walton J. Barnes, the father of the present owner, who determined to return Greenwood to its former glory. Between the Barnes' acquisition of photographs from visitors to the property prior to the fire and an old inventory book describing the furnishing in each of the rooms, the house was restored in 1983. In that same year International Cinema Corporation contracted with the family to use the house as the setting for the movie "Louisiana."
